Outdoor living is an extension of the home, to be planned as carefully as any part of the home. Our designers create unique and exciting landscapes that reflect each client’s lifestyle, expressing their vision and personality. During the design process, we ask questions, listen carefully, sketch ideas, research products and share options. The result is a master plan and cost analysis used to inform the project construction. We offer clients a turn-key process to complete their projects and our thorough process ensures that they receive the highest value for their investment.
2006 HGTV Dreamhome | Lake Lure, North Carolina
This outdoor living area was designed as a retreat for the owners. The geometry of the spaces, timber frame pergola and locust railings reflect the original architectural elements to seamlessly blend with the home. An infinity edge swimming pool beckons you to take in the distant mountain and lake views and is a favorite of the family dog Cooper. A cozy stone fire pit is the perfect place to wind down after a busy day. The owner's desire was to create a mountain oasis as a place to entertain or slip away to read a book in quite solitude.
Wildcat Cliffs Mountain Retreat | Asheville, North Carolina
This mountain retreat was designed for a family of three active boys who were looking for an engaging and interactive landscape instead of a typical playset in the backyard. The designed "play" was not limited by age as spaces for the adults are integral to the overall space. The first phase of the project includes a custom 10' stainless steel spa, natural cascading waterfall with fire & water bowls, firepit, walking and biking trails, a new cobblestone circular drive and a tree house. The next phase of project will include an infinity pool with open air pavilion, and a timber frame pool house.
Lakefront Outdoor Living | Lake Lure, North Carolina
Outdoor Kitchen and Living areas were designed to blend with one of the older charming properties overlooking Lake Lure. Mortared stone columns were constructed to match an existing stone foundation wall from the 1950's. Winding dry-stacked stone walls were used to add rustic charm. Outdoor curtains and lighting create drama and functionality of this inviting space.
It was a pleasure to work with Knight Strategies on our outdoor kitchen area.... Vic was open to suggestions and very attentive to what we wanted to accomplish. I highly recommend them. ~ Peggy and David Dahle
